Many of my fondest childhood memories were made at gospel singings. Whether it was an all-night singing at Nashville's War Memorial Auditorium, the National Quartet Convention in Nashville's then-new and modern Municipal Auditorium, or countless little country churches, county fairs, and tent revivals. I loved to see and hear my favorite groups like The Happy Goodman Family, Rebels Quartet, Oak Ridge Boys, Blue Ridge Quartet, Florida Boys, and Dixie Echoes. My all-time favorite has to be The Missionaires Quartet with my Dad singing the first tenor. The singers were heroes and celebrities whose albums and autographs I treasured. In 1978, I promoted my first concert; J.D. Sumner & The Stamps Quartet. I can't say it was a huge success, but it sure was fun. In 2007, I founded American Top Gospel. Today, I am still learning and having fun. Over the years, it has been my pleasure to work with the top artists, booking agencies, and record companies in the business. I treasure the friendships and business relationships formed along the way. I will continue to do my part to present top-quality artists in live appearances and broadcasts who love the One who created the music that carries the message of redemption, deliverance, and hope in Jesus Christ to the world.
